Building Protektion
Intrusion detection and sensor logic, layered with CCTV and access as one protective volume.
Integrated intrusion, alarm and analytics that treat the whole building as one protected volume.

02 / The discipline
Building protection is the layer of sensors, beams and detection that turns physical boundaries into information — quietly, reliably and in coordination with the rest of the security environment.
Zentrum designs this layer alongside CCTV and access so alarms are corroborated, false triggers are rare, and the operating team gets information they can act on.
Part of Electronic Security.
03 / Zones and layers
How the system is layered.
Detector positions, cable pulls, panel locations and the interfaces to CCTV and access are all coordination work. Bringing intrusion and perimeter design into the wider security coordination early is what allows the system to serve — rather than annoy — the people who use it.
- 01 /
Perimeter
Boundaries, gates and approach routes — where a property's protective thinking starts.
- 02 /
Entry
Doors, lobbies, barriers and readers deciding who passes and what is recorded when they do.
- Readers
- Barriers
- Visitors
- 03 /
Circulation
Corridors, lifts, cores and stairs, where observation matters more than density of hardware.
- 04 /
Controlled areas
Plant rooms, server rooms, cash and record areas, given tighter credentials than the rest of the building.
- 05 /
Observation and recording
Camera positions, retention and lighting conditions matched to what the space genuinely needs to see.
- Coverage
- Retention
- 06 /
Response
Alerts, escalation and who is expected to act — agreed with the client, not assumed by the system.
Outcome /
Layers that agree with each other.
Conceptual model only. Each project's zones, coverage and policies are designed against its own drawings and requirements.
04 / Design principles
What the design is held to.
Intrusion detection
Motion, contact and glass-break detection zoned against the building.
Perimeter beams
Beam and barrier detection at the site boundary and around key facades.
Sensor logic
Cause-and-effect logic that combines sensors before raising an alarm.
Panels and communication paths
Alarm panels with multiple communication paths to the monitoring point.
Integration
Structured interfaces to CCTV, access, lighting and communication where the design calls for them.
01 /
False-alarm tuning for palm trees, gardeners, cleaning crews and pets
02 /
Coordination with community security and Dubai Police protocols
03 /
Audit-ready event logs for insurance and compliance
05 / Where it applies
Layers, not products.
Private residences
Villas and apartments where the technology has to sit inside the interior rather than beside it.
ExploreWorkplaces and headquarters
Offices where the systems are judged on how little attention they need day to day.
ExploreAlso delivered in: Villas and private compounds · Residential towers · Corporate offices · Mixed-use developments · Hospitality.
06 / Coordination and delivery
How the package runs.
- 01 /Understand the risk picture and how the building is used out of hours.
- 02 /Design detector positions, zones and cause-and-effect against that picture.
- 03 /Coordinate containment, panels and interfaces with the wider security design.
- 04 /Install, tune and commission — with realistic scenario testing.
- 05 /Hand over an operating procedure the security team can actually follow.
- 01Intrusion panels, door contacts, glass-break and motion sensors
- 02Camera analytics for line-cross, loiter and object-left events
- 03Escalation flows to security desk, mobile devices and — where authorised — Dubai Police
- 04Zoned arming schedules for tenanted floors and after-hours operation
07 / Related systems
What this works with.
- CCTV SurveillanceIP camera systems engineered for clarity, coverage and quiet day-to-day operation.
- Access ControlCard, mobile and biometric access for doors, gates, lifts and restricted floors.
- Perimeter Protektion & Border ControlLayered detection at the edge — beams, fence sensors, thermal cameras and border-grade analytics.
- Electronic Security
- Alarms are corroborated by CCTV and access events for context.
- Data & IT Infrastructure
- Panels and IP sensors share the network and cabling plant.
- Connected Communication
- Alarms can be routed to intercom, PA and voice endpoints as designed.
- Building Automation
- Detection state can inform lighting and scene logic where appropriate.
